VACCINE MANDATE
As you may already be aware, a city-wide mandate was put in place requiring all guests entering an indoor facility in Washington, D.C. to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 beginning January 15, 2022. As such, we wanted to inform you of our updated policies required to enter Capital One Arena for upcoming events.

Guests age 12 and older must provide proof of having received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in order to enter the arena.

Capital One Arena has partnered with CLEAR to help facilitate a convenient way to provide proof of vaccination. All attendees going to the event can download the free CLEAR Health Pass mobile app in order to gain access to Capital One Arena.

Please review the information below prior to attending the event at Capital One Arena. Plan to arrive early as we expect delays upon entry to the arena as we work to implement this new policy in getting everyone into the arena safely and securely.
Exemptions for Providing Proof of Vaccination
Guests that are medically exempt from receiving the vaccine, or are unable to receive the vaccine out of a sincerely held religious belief, will be permitted to enter the arena providing the following requirements are met:
  • Guests must provide documentation of medical or religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine, such as a note from a medical provider, along with a photo ID.
  • Along with supporting documentation for the exemption, all unvaccinated guests must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 24 hours of event time.
Please note that all guests with a valid exemption MUST proceed directly to the Capital One Arena Box Office doors on F Street to enter. Entry with a valid exemption will not be granted at any other entrance.

  • Tap the account icon on the bottom right hand corner
  • Select “Minor Accounts”
  • Your parent or guardian will go through the enrollment process and then be prompted to add in your email address, set up your account, and have you snap a selfie
Once your parent or guardian has set up your account, all you need to do is:
  • Download CLEAR on minor’s device
  • Log in with the email and password your parent or guardian set up with you
  • Tap on the white Health Pass tile and select the venue.
  • Add your proof of vaccine through the CDC card upload option
For minors that are unable to complete this process, and for ALL minors ages 12 to 14, please show a printed or digital copy of their vaccination card at entry to the arena. Minors under the age of 12 do not have to show proof of vaccination at this time.
MASK MANDATE
The District of Columbia has mandated face coverings while indoors for everyone age 2 and older and will be required for all guests for the entirety of the event, including while seated in the arena in your assigned seat. A face covering must cover your nose and mouth, and cannot be a gaiter, open-chin triangle handkerchief/bandana, costume mask, mesh material, or a covering with an exhalation valve or holes.

Face shields may not be worn in place of a face mask, though they may be worn in addition to a face mask. Additional information can be found on our website.
